How the studio began
It started with one borrowed camera at a friend's mehndi — and the quiet realisation that the best frames were never the posed ones. One wedding led to another, a second shooter joined, then an editor, and Chhaya grew into a full studio. What hasn't changed is the way we work: light on our feet, honest about what we can do, and a little obsessed with the moments most people miss.
A little about our journey
A look at the work
Frames from recent weddings, portraits and sessions.

The road so far
One borrowed camera
A friend's mehndi, a borrowed DSLR, and the realisation that candid beats posed every time.
Behind the lens for real
Our first paid wedding — nerve-wracking, unforgettable, and the moment this became a calling.
A second shooter, then an editor
Two angles on every big day, and a colourist to make the whole set sing in one voice.
Travelling for the story
From backwater pre-weddings to hill-station receptions — wherever the story is, we go.
A full wedding & portrait studio
Photos, cinematic films and albums, still built around the same light-footed, honest way of working.
